The Blue Flag is the European Union's recognition of the best beaches
and tourist destinations that have been attentive to the environment.
Camogli boasts the prestigious recognition conferred after careful evaluations and checks,
in particular on the cleanliness of the sea, respect for the environment and the services offered.
The Lilac Flag project, born in 2012, aims at increasing and improving the reception of tourists with visual, hearing, motor disabilities and eating disorders, rewarding and supporting the Municipalities that pay particular attention to these targets.
Camogli is one of these municipalities, it obtained the Lilac flag thanks to the demolition of architectural barriers such as the construction of pedestrian walkways, public lifts, toilets for the disabled, equipped beaches and the agreement with the State Railways to equip the train station with two lifts.
